Outside Knoxville, TN at TS...Learned a VALUABLE lesson this evening, park before I get tired, not after I get tired...If it wasn't for a tanker driver filling ground tanks I may have smacked a concrete pillar as I maneuvered to park...I drove 555 miles today, started out in a pretty heavy snow in Austintown, OH and ended at night on the mountains in TN...Looooong day...

the miller in irwindale i thought we go here a lot. probably my new least favorite shipper.
i got instructions to bobtail here to get a pre loaded trailer. i was bored waiting so i went out at like 630 with all the traffic and get here. first off the kid at the gate is a douchebag. anyway they never even loaded a trailer, i guess they didnt have an empty and i sure didnt because i was told not to bring one. so not much i can do besides go back and get one and waste another hour.
so i come back and hope they will hurry up and get it loaded or something. nope same kid tells me at this point after i drove an extra 50 miles way too fast to come back at 4am so they can load it. wow is all i can say. -
Sittin at home getting the second reset in a week. Loaded thurs in Billings, a sugar load @#$%^@#$#@ is the kind of day it was, sliding around in the mud and ice yeehaa.... once I was loaded couldnt get the trailer doors closed, the back of the trailer had shifted and one door went up and the other down. I had to find a spot that was not level making the trailer shift, 1 1/2 hrs later the doors are shut but now i cant get the tandems to slide, with help from a local Sheriff to direct traffic I finally slide the tandems out in the middle of the road adding another hr to my now 41/2 hr loading extraviganza and still need to fuel and run accross the scales, sliding the stiff tandems again. I finally get on the road after 51/2 hrs of $#%@$#&*^@(* with only 2hrs left on my clock. After getting a good nights rest I let dispatch know I was 5hrs behind and would be late with delivery well I repowered that load and am loading Saturday for SFS on Monday.

Doing my reset in Charleston, TN, timing worked out perfectly, next load won't be ready until tomorrow evening and then it's just a short hop to Indianola, MS...
