WS drivers whats your 20

I too ALWAYS check my fifth wheel...Only from reading about that created a paranoia in me and that would be the worst thing I could imagine, pulling away and BAMM!...

 

Well... things in LA are running a little slow this week. Sitting in SFS on day 2 waiting for a load, there are 49 trucks sitting here waiting.

when i was in training a guy dropped a trailer and tore up the landing gear. because of that i always check! i actually have a pic somewhere...



i get out and look 2-3 times as im hooking to any trailer then get under and make sure its locked out of paranoia of it happening to me.

and it wont always happen just as you go to pull away. as i understand this guy got out onto the road before it came off. it can hang up enough to go along for awhile, then hit a bump out on the interstate and bye bye trailer.

 

Thanks for the post....hubby delivers in Vegas this morning and he is going to get with dispatch and see if he can't go somewhere else besides LA

i was told just now things are slow here in vegas as well...but i will gladly sit here a week. i was expecting to get sent to LA anyway, i would rather be here.

 

All I can say is good luck to those drivers who are staying out over X-mas I sure hope they get the miles that they need to qualify for the entire bonus.

 

Since I can't control the miles, if I see they're just not happening, I'll request home time...No sense staying away for a month if I can see there's no way, but I have faith in my dispatcher so I'll keep the hope alive!!!!!
