I"ll go right past that TS!!!!!!!!!...

I got very lucky, my next load was a brokered load from Vancouver to Minnesota, I was hating it as it put me right into the winter storm that's going to hit that whole route but when I called the broker had just given the load to a "Dave", I said thank you and hung up as fast as I could! hehe I called dispatch and Rich was actually very apologetic, I said, "for that snafu, if you can send me south, I'd appreciate it"...10 minutes later I get a lumber load from Port Angeles, WA to PHOENIX, AZ!!!!! Happy days!!!!!!!!!!

Loading wasn't scheduled until 7am tomorrow morning but I just showed up and the loader is checking if he can get me done tonight, he said if not, 5am tomorrow, either works for me as I planned on spending the night waiting until 7am...I'm seriously stoked about not going north!...

Question though, they fully state you will be loaded to the MAXIMUM here and since I'm going thru CA and can't have my tandems but so far back, what do I do if I scale and they need to go back further?...There isn't a scale anywhere close to here so it will be a long drive before I can scale...

My father lives in Phoenix so this may really work out well and be a great trip...All the way down 5 until I get to 10!!

I got lucky!...My next load was a broker load from Vancouver, WA to Minnesota, all I could htink of was having to go thru that winter storm along that whole route but when I called the broker, he said he just gave it to a "Dave", I said thank you and hung up as fast as I could...Call dispatch, who was actually very apologetic and I said, "due to snafu, if you could route me south, I'll call it even" hehe 10 minutes later I get a lumber load from Port Angeles, WA to PHOENIZ, AZ!!! Woohoo!!!!!

I showed up at shipper 14hrs early figuring I'd sleep here but the loader just came out and said he'd prefer to get me done tonight as he had a full schedule tomorrow, another WOOHOO!!!!!!!...

going south seemed like a pretty sweet deal until the ca border...that hill was a mess on top, couldnt see, jacknifed trucks, and with my little furniture load i was about to start crying haha.

then i saw some sign saying chains required up the road, on the radio it said single axle drive with trailers, i dont think but dont really know 100% if that includes ME since its ca and i hate them . either way im doing no more snow+hill+darkness so i parked.

I dont think so, if the roads are open I have to keep going even if that means chains, this load is heavy so unless the roads are really dangerous I'll keep going. But if I dont think I can do it safely its getting parked, this load isn't so hot that it wont cool down in the ditch! so I'm not going to risk a wreck for nothing.....I have 44+ years till I retire I can't mess up my career this early! lol

i got over it fine but the way the snow was falling who knows how it is now. it was coming down hard but the part where there was actually snow was only maybe 6 miles total at most and the rest was just rain. i dont even know whats going on with the next hill, but thats the only other one to worry about. i saw a plow go by so hopefully they are doing something with it. and the wind died down.

you can always go slow i was flying up the hill until i started seeing jacknifed trucks then i went 15 until i was over and low enough where it was just rain again.
but if they want chains, i dont know. they arent that bad but theres no way im everrrr doing it in the dark.
