Denver terminal with delivery scheduled 20 miles away on TUESDAY. Think I'll call them in the am and see if I can deliver tomorrow. Looked for parking at a couple of T/S's, all full, 70 must still be a mess I guess.

hmmm 70 was fine yesterday and westbound in the mountains didnt have to chain as far as i know, but those stops right in denver always seem to be pretty packed. last time i tried to scale at the flying j it was so full with people parking everywhere i couldnt even get onto the freakin thing.

denver is one of the cities that does not have anywhere near the truck parking infrastructure required to support the volume of trucks necessary to move all the freight. you can count on the pilot, flyingj, and both t/a's to be full by 6 pm or so. after that, you either need to be creative or have local knowledge.
there is a truck parking area, served by a restaurant with bathrooms (but no showers) at vasquez and 56th. from i70 get off at the exit for the pilot (steele/vasquez blvd, i don't remember the exit number) and go past the pilot heading north. you'll go under an underpass and then get in the left hand lane to turn left at the light. take the next left and the parking lot is right there next to the conocophillips loading terminal.
to get to i25, get back out onto 56th and turn left, then head west on i270 and follow the signs for i25 north or south.
to get to i70, turn right at the light. for i70 east, take colorado blvd (the right lanes). for i70 west, take vasquez (the left lanes).kenl3417 Thanks this. -
im lucky enough where i can just park and go home if i ever decided to spend a night there. i have some spots in the mountains i like and out on the plains you got all the rest stops that are usually pretty empty. i dont even like sleeping in crowded noisy truckstops anyway.
theres a wal mart and lots of food places and a lot of newer industrial areas east of 70 at tower with big roads to park on. that would be my hiding spot if i needed one. thats just a few miles from the terminal. -
No dice on the early delivery, didn't need a reset but I'm getting one needed or not.
