Actually that is incorrect, comming from some one that has actually travled in Mexico, both rural and tourist cities, and not just blowing smoke. Fuel prices were at around 8 Mexican pesos per liter when fuel was around 2.50 per gallon here. Now 8 X 3.7854118 liters equals $30.28 per gallon at an exchange rate of 9.95 to 1 equals at 3.04 per gallon US dollars. Now why might you ask when Mexico is sitting on top of a large crude pool. PEMEX is goverment owned.

Oil stocks have climbed during the current administration. So have the fuel prices. Look back at what they were in 1999.

there are a few ways to calculate fsc. The federal gov comes up with an average fuel price for the week and companies use that as a basis for calculating it. some will set a base price for fuel at like $1.50gal and pay 100% of anything over that amount then devide it by your fuel use per mile to come up with the per mile fsc rate.
More common is the co that says they pay like 40% fsc which they basicly take the average weekly fuel price, take 40% of that so if fuel is $3gal, 40% is $1.20 then divde that by your fuel use per mile. So if you get 5mpg it would come out to $.24 per mile. At least that's the way I understand it
Those numbers are all compleately fictional by the way.

Again, I have to feel that it's only going to get worse before it gets better. Those earnings are off the charts!

If you consider their profit margin is only about 2%, anyone claiming oil companies are price gouging is just plain ignorant of the facts.

I don't believe their profit margin is only 2%. Where did this number come from?

Most profit margins are alot higher on products sold.
