Ive been fighting water (Ethanol) in the system over the winters anyway. Ruins the mix. The truck is going to be replaced anyway this year at some point. So there is no more point in worrying about it anymore. A long time ago we had a source of leaded gas still at one fuel dealer in Maryland. Claim it's for off road only 5 gallons at a time. Eventually the tank is full. But that was for old engines from a very long ago made for that.

Thats a too extreme even for me.

I don't mind a little bit of ram charger device on top of a carb big enough to be fed that mass air. But the rest of it? the kids can have it. I usually am content with enough power to unstick a vehicle, including big rigs. If I had too much, I would just kill myself with it.

One day long ago Adesa had a modified car, they handed it to me as the oldest in the group.

What they did not know then was a 45 minute trip only took about 14 total with it. I was first back at the gate with it. Tires were hot and other than that no harm done.

But man, the unlimited red line all the way to 8 grand was something else. We don't have that kind of space in Arkansas to really open them up and go.

That thing is ridiculous . Great Story too.

Yea I have the 5.3 in my van. My first Ls motor and it Stomps my old 350 Vortec. Dirt cheap motors and they can make stupid easy horsies.

My only hang up is I would need to buy all new Stainless water jacketed exhaust for the LS , and that's more than a motor.

This little beater is Fun too. I couldn't have a fast car because my license would be bye bye in a week.
