No chance the contractors are just bending the state over a barrel with what they think it's worth, taking advantage of what they see as an ATM?

The residents of Wyoming should request an audit of the state DOT and track the funding they have been receiving, penny for penny. Other groups should get involved too, where's OOIDA on this?

You can't compare warm weather in Tennessee to freezing ### winter in Wyoming!
Not to mention size of a state and people population -
I don’t see how tourism is that affected by the roads. When my family drove through there the last time it was so cold with wind blowing so hard none of us had any desire to stay there a minute longer than necessary. I can’t imagine living in a place like that.

States need to have more accountability of the money that they spend, I don’t think that anyone can argue otherwise.
But people need to also remember that a lot of states have not raised fuel taxes in many years. We all know that nothing ever seems to get cheaper either. So these states are having to try and do all of their repairs and expansions with the same income, while the cost of the work keeps getting more expensive.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m not willing to work for the same money year after year while everything else keeps going up.Hammer166, BoostedTeg, larry2903 and 2 others Thank this. -

Don't forget that right now more and more people buying electric cars , and paying 0$ for road repairs (cause electricity payments don't go towards road budgets) -
Charge higher registration fees on electric vehicles to make up for some of the difference. Are the charging stations free? Like the Tesla ones? If they are then add some type of fee on it.
Northeast Hillbilly Thanks this.
