xm reception problems

    has anyone else had reception/signal problems with XM the last month or so? i seem to lose signal WAAAY more than i used to. it is terribly annoying trying to listen to O&A or Dave Ramsey with it cutting out all the time!!:biggrin_25510:

    Hmmm.......I don't personally have an issue with it at all.

    I just called my DH who has it and hes on the road, I asked him to check it and that channel and he said his is fine..no cutting in and out at all.

    Depends alot of the time where you are running at.

    Trees along the south side have an effect.

    seems like i only had problems around mountains until recently. now i cant even go intp a low area or under an overpass without it fuzzing out. maybe this 30$ antenna i bought sux and i need to get the 60$ one that looks like a UFO on a stick LOL

    Could be.

    I have the small antenna, and it usually does okay. I have not put it in this truck yet because not had it at home yet.

    funny thing is i ran my 1st yr with the factory (small mag. mount) and had few problems with reception. i wonder if the reciever could cause those problems>

    It might be possible that one of the wires is wearing through or something....

    Could be. The last receiver I had died as I returned back to the states on one trip. It probably was because of the large number of miles on it. I would have to check, but I believe it had over 500,000 on it.

    The roads shake them up good and the cost is so low anymore to just replace them.

    Iam sure it has alot to do with the antenna...lol

    Is that UFO one on a stick a two prong? That you are getting?

    i heard that, i got this "sportscaster for 15 bucks on sale at TA!!
    huh? it plugs in with about the size plug as a headphone plug i would say.
