Do you think I am that stupid to ask for money, if it was delivered damaged, to the wrong facility or one month late? You are almost insulting me by these assumptions.

So again, why would they not pay? Do you think they just said, ah screw it, let's not pay him?BigBadBill and TruckDuo Thank this. -
They lie all The time , they think somebody get tricked once he will not remeber them! Because they are big we should do what they want!
One time pick up was on Friday I went there and company was closed till tomorrow . Didn't want to pay det.
Next time the said 20000lbs and it was 44000 and I refused to haul because they won't pay extra.
Terrible company , specially if you are owner operator ! Don't work with this people ! -
Meh, not surprised. Their CEO is a Wall Street "industry consolidator" who wants to see the trucking industry run like the taxi industry-- a handful of oligarchs pretending to compete. I came from the financial world as well, his type believe that the fewer the players the easier it is to control the market.
Not surprised that some of his offices adopt a less than respectful attitude toward the GDIs that he so despises. They don't pay someone? He borrowed that tactic from the health insurance world where they would just deny claims at random because only so many will appeal, only so many will appeal the appeal, only so many of those will go to the regulators, only so many of those will sue, and only so many of those will have the pockets to carry on the fight for five years until they can't delay the trial. And then they settle just before trial begins so they never get a judgement against them. But most people just give up the fight and the company wins the game.
As XPO builds its own fleet I expect that their brokers will become less and less accomodating to independent O\Os. They aren't part of the brave new world envisioned by the company's leadership and that attitude always trickles down eventually. I don't know what his end game is but I know it involves a lot fewer authorities out there. So none of this surprises me. -
I hauled for them at least twice in the last month. Always got paid on time. Not sure who you dealt with, but they paid within 3 days for each load I've taken for them.
