Right, theroretically you can work forever not driving, but you still have to recap. I like to see you put 168 hours out there.

You can prove a point. The thing is we are drivers and we drive. The Yahoo question asked how long can a driver drive.

He gave a short answer that is understandable by the public. They don't care less you can if you were smoking crack and can work three days straight on a dock. The fact is, it don't happen. Posting FMSCA rules is useless. We all know where they are and what they say.

Actually you could only drive 13.75...must do at least one logged inspection of 15 minutes depending on the company requirements it could be both pre and post trip inspection so that would leave you 13.5 hours of driving in a 24 hour period.

Why would you do 8 consecutive hours in the sleeper then 2 hours in the sleeper? I would like to hear your explanation of how to do a split sleeper log! Be careful...you aren't allowed any grammatical errors, and it must be completely understood by fellow drivers...oh, you will have to use no more than 100 character spaces for your explanation.:biggrin_2558:

Bubba you told him at 70 hours the work must stop. That would be incorrect. You could work/ drive for an ltl company 14 hours Mon-Fri and then work 10 on the dock Sat workimg a total of 80 hours.

I have no idea why proving you statement incorrect means I now smoke crack. Do crack heads often prove you wrong? Just curious the thought process that makes the leap from "I'm wrong" to "You smoke crack".

You spend a lot of time on the CB huh? Have a pleasent day.

Dang your right. Never try to work that hard so I've never had to log it and see the discrepancy.

    Good catch!
