I already knew it was a magnet but have you seen the some of those yard trucks have pintle hooks on the front that can raise up and down with a control on the dash to grab and move converter gear around the yard? usually LTL terminal hostler trucks have them.
-
Ours has a pintle on the back. Whats the advantage of having it on the front? or are you blowing smoke up my tootie fruity?
Not surprised these days, anything can be adapted to a tractor and well beyond my 8 years of experience to know every gadget out their lol
Even if you are joking, I'm sure it exist

Actually it's not really a pintle hook, more like one of those drop hitches you see on the back of those pull trucks that move mobile homes. the hook part moves up and down to grab and release the dolly pintle. There's a mirror that points down towards it so you know when to set the hook.Shaggy Thanks this.

No, I have seen pintle hooks on the front, but never ones that raise up and down. It does make it a whole lot easier to maneuver the gear from the front, particularly if you are in a hurry. (NEVER get in a hurry. . .) This is something where you really have to "under-steer," or you are going to see some "interesting" results!
