The hill game is annoying for both sides. But if I'm lighter am I just suppose to wait on you?

The core of all these courtesy problems is some guys wouldn't lift the right foot off the floor if it hair lipped every demon in hell.
I swear some guys don't even need a fuel pedal, just a off/on switch.
I don't do the drag race thing ever. If it's close I just lift a minute, fall back and it's all good.

Gee, I wonder what brought that about. They don't answer the CB, they can't flash lights (headlights or tail lights) to say thanks, they come at you like you are a nuisance to even be on the road with them.

People in general have become so self-centered and "gimme" it's pathetic. I can't even have another driver engage in small talk while waiting in line at a shipper/consignee anymore.

They walk in with the parrot on their head having a conversation with someone 500 miles away and can't focus 2 feet in front of their face. They can't even untether long enough to have a conversation with the person at the fuel island. Starting to see more and more fuel desks with "No Cell Phone" signs at them. Saw one clerk actually tell a guy to step out of line or hang up the phone. when he was next, the clerk skipped him because he was still on the phone.

Maybe we're just old-fashioned but that stuff bugs me too. It just seems pretty rude to me.
I've got a blueparrott myself but it never leaves my cab till I'm loading my pickup to go home.

Mine stays on a hook on the dash. It's for the road, not walking around.

I have taken my smartphone in with me to answer emails and conduct business (not make phone calls either) while eating, but that was also while trying to buy this truck.

No danger of that, I have a brain and know how to merge traffic.

No, but if your going to step out and pass someone make sure you can actually do it. If its going to take you 5 miles to do it, don't complain if no one let's you out next time. I don't have a speed limiter, if you do I'm sorry. I have my own truck so I don't have to have a babysitter. Being able to drive freely is one of my benefits. Punching the clock and leaving the truck for someone else to deal with is yours. When you hold me up for miles your infringing on one of my benefits, for entertainment I've been know to leave someone hanging.

This is beyond even my level of comprehension,ha!,but i actually have to agree w/mndriver.I am elated that fuel desk people are skipping those still on a cell phone/head set, i see less and less of the lights on/off(i hate being flashed) signaling that it is safe to come over or being thanked for allowing another to come over, and the lack of a mere "howdy" while fueling.

I do not have a head set for my phone and am waiting for that first big ticket for using a hand held device in my cmv.at that point,i may purchase a parrot, may not, but rest assured I WILL NOT wear it over my head everywhere i go.I was behind a bald driver recently and noticed his head was sun burned/tanned except where that head set sat.wtf? as if it is attached permanently.company hand that certainly did not represent his company in a professional manner per his attire.but that is for another rant.

yes i am apparently very old school and very resistent to change and am setting myself up for yet another ticket for doing or not doing whatever while in a cmv.i suppose that I'll end my rant and tell myself to "carry on driver".it will at least look like i am talking to myself not unlike the parot heads among us-

oh yeah.to maintain relativity for this thread,i don't drive a slow truck but will work with those of you that do by sharing the road when i can safely do so.I will thank you for allowing me onto the hwy and i will allow you back into the right lane as i ease over to the truck hammer lane to hammer away from the cluster.

I understand. But I what I see are drivers whose ego gets hurt if they get passed so they race past you again get a few miles out and then catch a hill the game starts again.

I do let drivers out, flash my lights and will lift if your coming along side me. But I'm not going to wait all day on you.

And whats the babysitter crap. So I'm not a driver till I buy my own truck?

Your "like to leave people hanging" comment speaks volumes to me.

Can't speak for anyone else only my self I drive a (4wheeler).

When I am around trucks on the road, I give them room and I try to be as courteous as possible. I know it takes a lot more for a truck to move than for me to. I also know that if I can't see you or your mirrors, you probably can't see me and I shouldn't be there. I don't really expect you to move over when you see me coming down the off ramp, after all it is my job to merge into traffic, it's not your job to make room for me. In the event you do get over and let me in, I usually slow down and turn my lights on\off to let you know you have cleared me and I expecting you to get back over, then I will move into the left lane and go around you. I did one time move into the same lane as the truck that got over for me and some dumb A-$-$ came right up beside both of us in the right lane so the truck could not get back over, now I stay in the right lane till the truck get back over to make sure no one gets in the way so the truck can get back over.

anytime I come up on a truck that has a turn signal on, I always slow down and let them over, I always think to myself if I don't let him over the dumb A-$-$ behind me probably won't and they might miss a turn or an exit.

it agitates me greatly when I try to help out a truck and they don't wave or flash their lights, I know they have a lot going on and I should not be expecting to be noticed for what I did, but it is still nice for the truck to notice that there are some 4wheelers that are paying attention.

And I am sure that the truck on the highway is on a much tighter schedule than I am.
