I've read what I can find on GA's website, and the small oversize booklet. I can't find the large book in a truckstop yet, so I'll probably order one to ship home.

I'm still confused on Georgia. I've applied for the amber sticker.
But I can't find - WHEN do you need to run the amber lights in Georgia?
We're going to be picking up an 8'8" Wide item.
We'll flag it with red as needed. We'll hang the front/rear oversize signs.
I've applied for the amber sticker.

But do I need to run amber lights during the daytime? My permit didn't arrive on Friday, so I won't see what it says until Monday. I was hoping it would come through on Friday, so I could read it. Twice. As per everyone here, read it twice and yet again. :biggrin_25514: But I don't have it yet :biggrin_2558:.

So, do we need amber lights during the daytime in GA?

At that size I will say no. But then again it might state you need to.
Just remeber to pull around back at the scales and go to the weigh lane. No matter what the green arrow points. They have signs up stating all oversize to the back..

You only need amber lights on the rear if you are over 12' and up to 14' wide then you can use them in place of a rear escort on the interstate. You don't need them if you have a escort.

Check tag numbers on the permit, they will. Don't forget when you enter a GA scale go to the rear, no matter what the lights say, go to the rear and stop your steers on the small scale.

If you go to FL they will put it on the permit if you need a light, and it must be visible from all side so you may need 2, 1 on tractor and rear of trailer.
