I found out today that the mega carrier owned company to whom I'm leased has announced their decision for ELDs for the o/os. The gouge was they were going to require them even on exempt trucks. They announced that it is only for those trucks that will require them, so I will not need one with my '94.

They did tell drivers to be careful regarding selling and getting an older truck just to avoid, as DOT will be trying to make those running paper logs regret it. I'm not worried, I run legal and object to them for reasons other than "How will I run 18 hours a day on elogs?"
