Well, ok. It sure didnt look like much in my mirror.

I actually scraped the bridge where Saw Mill Pkwy goes over Ashburton Rd near the end of the rd. It was tall enough but the road was at a 45 degree grade..

And you wouldnt have gone under THAT one with a car hauler. that road ends at a T, one way has a 10'10 bridge and the other way has a shipper, and a bus yard.

I'm sure glad I don't have to worry about bridges in NYC and suburbs. It sure helps being born there and learning the roads/bridges from my time working for my families produce company in Hunts Point. Now don't take this the wrong way, I truly feel for anyone that has to get on the job training in this zoo!

I learned a whole new way to drive on my trips up there. That's my first time i ever got off the highway in well....the sixth borough. ;) i still havent gotten off the highway other than taken the major deegan expressway to the gw bridge in NYC yet. I cant imagine it being too much worse than yonkers. Where I was was just about 2 miles from the bronx.

been to Kearny, Newark, Jersey City before though. And ughhh, the Newark airport, which is basically a city unto itself...i was team driving back then, my codriver was at the wheel and got lost at that place. LOL.

I will agree with you on it being tight over in Yonkers. I usually try to get in there before 5am so I can make the turn onto the side road where I go off of Saw Mill Rd.

I drove all night through that blizzard, took 8 hours to get 200 miles. Hehe. If i would've gotten there at 5 i would have NEVER gotten into my delivery location they had *JUST* plowed it when i pulled in....and they had 2 feet of snow. Guess i was delayed just the right amount of time...

Yonkers is such a 'special' place, full of corruption, mob, infrastructure neglect and poor layout. I'm amazed there were any buisnesses left to ship too.

(hmmm satilite dishes eh? People can't pay rent or get a job in that town, but they can go though a truck load of satilite dishes. Think about it)

    Yes I've lived/worked there.

I can't imagine the hills in a loaded 18. Oh and the bus drivers are a bunch of spoiled MTA union brats. Let em sit.
