Yeah I've been watching the weather as well. Trying to stay out of the bad weather if I can help it, but I'm feeling another itch to go out west again..Far west, but I'm too #### cheap to buy chains LOL. May just find something along the I 10 route.

I agree carbondale sucks and it was snowing pretty good on my way in there coming up the mountain on 81 the fog was so thick i couldnt see more than 150-200 feet. I actually missed the turn and had to get creative to get turned around

I hate the never ending hills over there.. makes me go nuts.
Of course the fedex drivers blow your doors off at 70MPH in snow storms also around the curving hills there.

Sometimes it's just the cold and it's been cold here in New England..my gauge has been going up and down.
Checked the fuel filter and all is well.
Do a visual check from time to time..it gets expensive changing filters out.
Not so much the fuel/water one but the cartridge one on the engine..this one tends to cause the restriction that you're reading on the gauge.

Given the reading was up 18, how was the truck running?

I've never been that high..usually when it hits 10 I replace it.
Changed it today..gauge was fluctuating from 5 to 11..MPG was still good.
Did a visual inspection and the fuel level was towards the top which usually means clogged filter.
Blah blah..10 minutes later it was purring along.
