You are in a residential neighborhood at 9:30 AM, getting "Honk" signal from child on sidewalk

If it’s a kid, let the horn rip. I don’t blow it for anyone that looks over like 15.

 

For the naysayers about letting the horn rip in a residential neighborhood, a couple toots or a couple seconds won't cause you to get a noise ordinance. The smallest things in the world make anyone's day including a child's. Don't be that guy that goes by a school bus full of kids and doesn't blow the horn upon reqeust..I'll tell you what, if you have a loud Jake brake, that can excite the neighborhood kids too. Hell when I was small, I'd hear the big sound of an old school truck and run outside. When my cousins were small, they could hear each time I was nearby in the neighborhood and they'd be waiting outside, giving the arm pump right before I'd park.

 

Statistically graveshift workers have pre advanced sleep apnea/irregular heart rhythms and need an occasional trucker defibrillation, at least that’s what I read on the onion news letter

 

I used to be the little boy with my arm in the air to all the rigs going by, now I AM the rig gong by, yer darn tootin' right Im going to give a 2-toot for them!

Thankfully, my boss ordered this Freightliner rollback with twin full size cab mounted blasters.

 

I’d run the truck out of air. Screw those people who can stand a little noise interrupting their Judge Judy.

 

I could careless age or sex. Had a 80 yearold lady do it. Live in a town with two colleges. But my favorite. One morning in Bellevue Ohio, slow train had traffic backed up. I was infront of the school bus for blocks, kids all over the place. I dont know how I didn't run out of air or smiles that am. That was a great day.

 

Now if I blow my horn at a train. I become the 5 yearold when he honks back.

 

Haven't had that happen to me yet. I guess since I usually see them going to or coming from the Enola, Pa yard, they're probably in a bad mood when I see them lol
