And if, as in this case,
both are backing up???
LOLtucker Thanks this. -
Yeah but she didn't need to watch sides but mirrors only so it's not like she was blinded.tucker and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

Again as I stated in another post, video doesn't show who was where and in motion 1st. If fact they were both in motion then it's on both of them for not paying attention.
But it will be the swift that's gets the non preventable. Imocrb Thanks this. -
Agreed... If the driver was backing, and one assumes straight back, then the driver should have been able to see the truck behind the truck. Even if it wasn't backing into a spot.... Just a big thing in the way.diesel drinker Thanks this.

Yup!This is exactly what should happen here. They were in position which required to be extra careful and they messed up.Was that Swift teamster fat?I can imagine he was one of those fat guys who are too lazy to do anything even if it requires just a minimum effort like getting out of the truck and spotting.

Guess the trainer will be teaching the driver how to back... Maybe it was just a good "hands on demo" as to why one should back into most parking spots... LOL

Driver backing out. Despite the strong persuasive argument that there were two people in quest truck.
Driver nosed in appears to have failed to goal and watch mirrors.
Person backing is nearly always at fault very few exceptions.
I don't understand guys nosing in.Last edited: Aug 23, 2016

Common sense dictates that you don't place yourself into the blind spot of a truck that is backing up unless you want to get crunched. If you are trying to get crunched, you can't then try to pass blame onto the guy who ran you over.
Like I said, the backer-upper didn't get to the point of impact very quickly, and it would be blatantly obvious what was going on to even the most casual of observers. The other guy had no business setting up for his own back until the situation ahead of him had been resolved. He chose not to follow the prudent path, placing his truck in emminent danger. Like I said, he deserved a good whooping.
OK...just watched the video again...this time with audio. It is my belief that the Quest driver likely saw the other truck backing out, but decided to be a dick and set up for his own back because he doesn't think anyone should ever nose into a parking spot. With that attitude, 99.9% of the blame falls squarely on his shoulders, because he intentionally placed himself in a position to be hit. The other 0.1% of the blame rests with the driver backing out, as they should have been watching closer. That being said, if they were watching their driver's side mirror as that's where the trailer was angling, and this doofus slipped in from the blind side, there was a pretty #### good chance it was going to end up exactly as it did.
The Quest driver needs his ### whooped. -
