3 day run from San Diego to MT. Boots to load, and been flip flops since. I will be back in boots to deliver in the morning. No sense getting dressed up for lot lizards and Dennys waitresses.

The wife dont do much laundry these days and im tired of buying new socks. I hate to say it but my crocks have outlived 3 pair of steel toes. And my feet dont rot off either.
Dont worry, theyre hi vis steel toe safety crocks. But i drive barefoot mostly. And shirtless when the AC is broke. The marble countertops and stone veneers still get put up in richies house as planned.ichudov Thanks this. -
In the summer I like to be comfortable, so I drive in shorts, and sandals. When I get to my destination either to load, or unload, on goes my coveralls, and steel toes. Since loading and unloading heavy equipment is usually a very dirty job the coveralls keep my clothes clean as well. Then remove the steel toes and coveralls, and get back in my clean cab, in clean clothes and sandals, and drive off.
Been doing it this way for 30 years, worked good then, and still does.Last edited: Jun 23, 2019

And why shouldn’t sleeper truck drivers be allowed to air out their dogs when they’re not at a customer?
