I've dealt with Chicago cops on several occasions and they were pretty cool ( except that jerk in Skokie, that dragged me over to their city scale, only to find, the scale was being worked on that day, hah, that felt good, but he DID get me a few months later for $300 bucks) It's like the Chicago cops deal with so much craziness, they like doing something like helping a truck turn around.

Buffalo, this morning. In pre-plan I see the Q-comm routing me around Clinton St - when I'm already on it because the exit takes you right to it. I figure, alright I'll just ride Clinton (because the shipper is on Clinton) unless I see a 'No thru trucks' or a max weight advisory.
About a mile down it I see the trestle and a 12'9" posting.
Thankfully there was a left to be had where I could spin the rig around and get back to the Q-Comm route.
    #### thing was right for once. Imagine that!

Place the transmission in high range reverse, let the clutch out and backup as fast as possible. Do not be alarmed if you hear the sound of crunching metal and broken glass, it is completely normal.

Watch out the driver side window at the pavement and look for trails of blood or internal organs. If you should start to see any of this, slow down a little bit to allow people to get out of the way.
