Sorry to disappoint you but I have been in this a long time and have no plans of getting out for a long time. All I asked was WHY would someone with a reefer make it a point to park right next to a flatbed when there were more than 30 OTHER OPEN spots available?

By asking the question I was assuming that guys that have never pulled anything but a reefer probably don't have a clue about annoying other drivers, you have just proven my point.

If you can't understand the question then I would guess you are probably one of those drivers that has no consideration for your fellow driver. If the lot is close to full, I understand completely, as a side note I try NOT to park at TS any more than I have to.

But I WAS on a 34hr reset, not just over night, OR are you also one of those drivers that doesn't shower for three days at a time?

Have you got an APU or do you idle your truck all night?

This particular trip I had my Pete 384, I only idle it when absolutely necessary, ALL of our new trucks are fitted with battery powered APU's. It's the only one that isn't, but IF I know I am going to idle I will try and pull in so not to bother others.

And I do run a reefer at the moment. I have more fools pull up and then let their trucks idle for hours. Even when they go in and eat/shower or do whatever they do in the truck stops.

Understand what you are saying, but I will guarantee you that not only is my Pete probably the quietest truck in the lot, it is also probably the first one to shut off and the last one to start.

I have always been mindful of invading others space.

This is where assumptions get people in trouble, my Pete has an ISM Cummins, all 10.5 liters of it, also the truck was a show truck and has more under the hood insulation than most, so yes, it IS A VERY QUITE TRUCK.

10 or 15 litre, it doesn't matter. They are rattlers and make noise. ALOT more noise than any APU or new reefer will make.
