yes it is. Because I get tired of people pissin' on ice boxes and making us out as the bad guy. People idling their trucks are a bigger issue more than any reefer ever will.

I have parked on more than one occassion, no reefer, no apu running only to have flats or drops come in and sit and idle for the entire night.

So why should it surprise you when you get your pissin, moanin and whining tossed right back into your lap where it belongs.

I parked the other night in a service plaza in Oklahoma. It was a reefer next to me. Then another pulled in.

    Guess what?

    They both were running.

    So What......No big deal.

I would be willing to bet that it's a mass conspiracy against you. ALL the reefer drivers, bull haulers, idlers have all gotten together to ( I saw them all gathered at the round table ) find out where you're parked and go park next to you.

20 years ? Really ? This "noise" bothers you enough to take up band with to complain?

Truck stops are places of business 24/7. If it's the normal everyday /night noises going on. SO WHAT.

My first night out is the worst for being bothered. After that - I don't care if I roll over and put my arm around your idling 15 litre. Won't wake me up. But if it was a show truck then I might get a chubby. I had a prostar park his hood right beside my sleeper and his dang fan kept cycling every 60 seconds. That drove me nuts but there was no where to move too

Ive done van, reefer, and flatbed. I guess it does not bother me either way. Iam at a truckstop now where there is no lines in the parking lot, just a dirt lot. When guys park all over the place, by the end of the day, theres no room because everyone parked all jacked up. If they parked one after another, there would be room for 10 more trucks to park. But i understand when someone wants quiet, a truckstop is the last place for that.

so my weed burner is bad
    my reefer annoying
    and my apu is loud
i park where it is convienet i thought we were all just trucks in a truck stop
i always park beside someone if there are like 8 spaces so everyone gets an easier shot pulling in
rather then stagger park and up at 10 pm watching a newbie struggle i like my front end the way it is

The biggest piece of crap Volvo I've ever seen in my life pulls up beside me. It had some Huge air leak that was dumping his aire tanks in about two minutes. He kept firing the truck up and revving the #### thing to the moon. I got sick of it I finally spun my truck around so I was nosed even with the trailer bumpers. I'll be ###### if the two fattest husband and wife truckers I've ever seen didn't pull in backwards right beside me. It's 60 degrees out, and theyre idling that truck. My GOD you fat ######## shut it off roll the windows down and let some of that ### smell out of your truck. I know it smelled like dirty cheeseburger and butt cheese in there it had to, they were both way over 400 lbs. every time one of them moved I could hear the truck squeak.

I couldn't sleep, couldn't sleep. So I finally got up to pee about 3am. I beat on the side of their truck lol and kept walking into the truck stop. When I got back they had shut the truck off.

Quieter than some of those old reefers that sound like an East LA six-banger with a hole in the muffler.....
