I run the I 74 and 70 corridor alot these days from omaha to Columbus OH.
Ups uses the kwik star at the 201 on 80 in iowa as switch yard and are shameless about it ....grabbing all parking near the building.

Fed ex uses the TA at Bloomington I'll as a switching lot but are somewhat respectfull about it .
Dot foods uses the speedway at London oh and you would think they own the place !
Of the company's I've mentioned I've never once seen them buying fuel .

Those drivers may need a little 5th wheel lube....then they don't have to slam into it so hard. It don't even take all that to hook up to a trailer.

When I worked for Penske Logistics, we had a meet and turn set up in Clearfield PA.
The management of the our terminal met personally with the owner and explained we would be buying fuel and using the restaurant.
It worked out well. But the business is very different now than it was in 1997.

I stopped there yesterday was looking forward to walking around and camping out for the night.
But hell they don’t take fleet cards I couldn’t fill up and was almost empty.

It was the present Sapp Brothers. Not the greatest parking lot, and we were switching 10 units a night from about 10PM to 3AM. All GM parts, just in time going to Richfield OH.

navypoppop, bzinger and mjd4277 Thank this.

Whenever I did stay there I always try to stay to the left of the pumps(as you pull in). That way im not awakened by all the fed ex drivers coming in and out.

    mjd4277 and bzinger Thank this.
