Unless it's a long run of very low power that will receive high amplification, like phono cables. But, that seems like overkill on a CB speaker.

Pardon me. I'm thinking about balanced cables. Oops.

Mostly seems like an issue when using an amplifier and RF gets into the cable

I like that little mobile radio you have, there. What is it?

That's a "Any Tone Smart CB" or could be the UK version Albrecht AE-6110...advertised as the Worlds smallest CB, sell around $50-$80.

Yep Jesse James nailed it. It's an Anytone Smart CB. Don't ask me why it's called this because I don't know own either. But it's a very compact CB not much bigger than a pack of cigarettes. Perfect for small interiors like 95% of cars and trucks today. And yes very inexpensive at $60.

If I owned a car lot, I could afford to put one in every new car with an antenna. We could "make CBing great again."

Back in the eighties I had a little Radio Shack Radio that was probably about the same size as that thing but yours looks like it's a lot more durable.

Blaskowitz and CW Spook Thank this.

I remember the RS Mini-40, now that you mention it. I had one back when they were new. Not a bad little rig as I recall. Geez, that was a long time ago.

Mine probably is. The case is made from aluminum and doubles as a heat sink for the final. Only the bottom of the case is tin metal. Nice thing about this radio unlike typical small CB radios, is it has scan and FM (in addition to AM) built in. Plus it'll transmit just short of 28 MHz. My only gripes is it doesn't have a noise blanker or an auto noise limiter in it (at least not that I have found) so I have to keep it squelched up or keep the RF gain down. But all in all it's a good radio for really small interior spaces.
