No thanks. Never (that I know of) been on 105 in any weather at all. I do know that if there's snow on the ground, I will absolutely not drive VT 9. I'd be nervous about doing it again in the rain. That (presumed) 15% grade is insane in good weather - add in any sort of inclement environment and ... no way, Jose!
You wish you had it this good :) Watkins & Shepard

:smt117I called back to check and had an interview with Roxy...what a NICE gal! Looks like it's all go if I pass the backgnd check with WS.
Now, the wife and I actually prayed for the best company for me (and PUHLEEEZZ no bottomfeeders!) and this went well, so this may be it. What I don't understand is why on earth any drivers would LEAVE the training or even worse, the orientation? I don't get that; this company sounds like a deal from heaven to me.
I intend to make very good with them.
All I have to do is get some money up and try not to lose my house this month. March 2 is a long way off. But I'll do it somehow. What I need is an unguarded bank! -
Hi everyone! I wish I had known about this site sooner. My husband is driving for covenant right now. WS sounds pretty good. My husband used to be a mover for United Van Lines (corrigan) I think he would love to haul furniture and actually get to move it. He misses that. Danc, do you think he may have a chance at WS? He has been at covenant sine 12-28-08 and still only has about 22 or 24 segments in. By the way, he has 11 years experience in moving industry. Also, with him being on the road I'm trying to reasearch companies for him. That is why I'm asking for info here instead of calling the company. Thanks so much

Are there any Watkins Shepard drivers here that are running out of the Detroit terminal?
Just wondering what lanes the Detroit drivers are running, and what kind of home time they are getting. -
I'm kind of curious if any W/S Drivers are running out of the Modesto, Ca terminal? How do they treat ya?

NO, I drove in the mid 80's hauling cars and unfortunately after getting called back to Ford I let my License expire. So I did have to go back through a CDL mill about a year ago to get it renewed. And I guess now if I go with A large carrier I will probably have to go through some kind of training again.

jasondt2001 Thanks this. -
Danc: I'm up into the post #70's in the other thread, checking the history of WS...I have to wonder where so many new drivers are going in a company with just 600 trucks?
...anyway...
1.) those 10's are the Super10's, correct?
2.) Flats have 13's? (my favorite)
3.) are the company trucks single or double bunk? (can't take the wife with a single)
4.) coming out of Dalton, would I get stuck on a loop, or see the NE a lot?
5.) wonder if I'll pass the physical...
