I would strongly encourage anyone to look into the extensive amount of research that Dr. Paul Saladino has done to refute such bogus claims that are pushed by those with an agenda to sell you very unhealthy foods while claiming that they are in fact very healthy for you.
The type 2 diabetes is developed as a result of insulin resistance, eating red meat does not cause insulin resistance. Consuming an excess of things such as sugar, carbs, seed/vegetable oils, and other foods commonly deemed to be healthy contribute to the widespread incidence of type 2 diabetes more than eating quality red meat could ever hope to.

Eat red meat twice a day, 7 days a week, for the past 25 years. Blood tests are perfect and testosterone is high (good thing). Eat more meat (unprocessed).

Every year or so the next observational study comes out of anti-meat propaganda outlets like Harvard or Tufts
They look at the general population that eats processed foods daily and draws conclusions they wish to spread to the public
The latest one of these bogus studies says eating red meat is associated with type 2 diabetes
The irony is eating a meat-based diet with other whole foods is the best way to REVERSE type 2 diabetes
And also happens to be what humans did for all of history
