:biggrin_25514:When I win the lottery my dream truck will be a brand new star with a 132" sleeper, 625 cat, 3:50 rears, 13 speed od, with all the bells & whistle's. Gotta have a fair amount of lights too. I'll have a matching 50' spread axle trailer with the right amount of lights.:biggrin_25514:

This is probably the most frequent daydream running through my head as I'm running down the road.

I'd have to have it custom built. I hate having equipment that doesn't stand out. Ain't gotta be pretty...just gotta be unique and built for a purpose.

...and you said money was unlimited, right? :biggrin_2559:

I'd have to find a solid B-75 Mack cab with a clean title...I'd want it titled as a mid-1950's to early-1960's truck. Day cab, of course...I don't like going too far from home anymore. I'd update it a little...add air ride to the cab for a little better ride, and it would have a full array of gauges on the dash. I don't need air conditioning...just give me a sliding rear window.

I'd get a Mack Cornerstone chassis to mount the cab...7/16" frame rails. Heck, put an insert in there to double it up, too. The severe duty crossmember package sounds good, too....gotta make it bullet-proof. I'd set it up to be around a 216" wheel base.

I'd get a Mack E9 V8 motor and squeeze it under the hood (may require some body alterations)...turned up to around 600 or 625 HP...and breathing through dual 6" exhaust stacks turned out just above the top of the cab.

Since I probably wouldn't be able to find a 5x4 transmission that could handle that kind of power, I'd have to settle for the T31821.

For the drives, I'd go with the SW582 suspension, but upgrade it to air with Raydan Mfg.'s Air Link. Rears would be 5.02 gears mounted in CRD2021-2031 carriers, with 12R24.5 Michelin XDY 3 tires. Full lockers, of course.

The steer axle would be an FXL23 on multi-leaf shackle springs, with 445/65R22.5 Michelin XFE wide base tires mounted up.

I'd have a Telma Frictionless Braking System mounted in the driveline to help save my brakes....and speaking of brakes, why not go with the Bendix air disc brakes all of the way around?

Roadranger's Central Tire Inflation System is pretty neat, too...so since money is not an issue, I gotta have that...complete with the dash controls to adjust air pressure for load and terrain.

Gotta go heavy-duty on the 5th wheel, too...Fontaine XAWX air-slide bracket, with the X5092 top plate, complete with the KIT-BLK-SLD blocking kit installed.

I'd have dual 100 gallon fuel tanks, with the right side tank split 60 (hydraulic)/40 (fuel). They would be the narrow tanks, so I wouldn't lose any more ground clearance than necessary.

The wet kit would be a little more than I have now...which is already a "custom" install.

Of course then I'd have to add a few side boxes to carry my tools...and maybe a headache rack to hang a few chains on...a sturdy front bumper...and other minor "details".

Yeah, it'd be a friggin' tank. It would be able to go wherever I needed it to go, pull whatever I wanted to pull, and I'd never have to worry about making it back out of any job site. I do end dumps right now...mostly local work...but I wouldn't mind someday getting back out into the woods and hauling sticks again. Maybe get a trailer or two for each...and a low boy to haul my other stuff around...but then I gotta build a bigger shop to keep it all in....
    :biggrin_2556:

Yup. I'm pretty good at spending money I ain't got in my head.:biggrin_25521:
