I live in the Eugene area. Wondering about who to start with. Looking to be treated right. Is that possible? Whats the best pay in the area. Will have all my endorsements when Im done with school. Thats what I was told.

It might help get better answers if you tell us what kind of trucking you are interested. So here's two questions that if you can answer we could more correctly point you toward the right companies.

    1. Which of the following would you prefer - local(home every night), regional(home every week), or OTR(home every 2-6 weeks)?

    2. What segment of trucking interests you - flatbed, tanker, dry van, reefer, Over Dimensional, etc.?

    1. I believe regional and or OTR. I think I would get bored of a local route, like pepsi, coke, etc. **Also I dont want to load and unload like they do. I have worked for a dairy loading and unloading trucks. Also for a grocery co doing the same. I would do it. I just dont want to all the time.

    2. The segment that interests me? Well at this time I dont know enough to make that choice.
What pays the most and why? I have NO PROBLEM working hard and going the extra mile (pun intended) If Im treated right. Truth is Im 48, no retirement, and need to make as much as I can while I can. If that makes sense. Have a son heading to college. Wow! not cheap.

I would say here you could start flatbedding, but winters are harsh on us with all the physical labor involved. Also the pay is good, from there you could always find out what companies would train you (depending on your health and MVR)
Here are a few that could (I'm not 100% sure but I'd try out)
    Prime
    Melton
    TMC
    System
    Central Oregon

    Calregon Thanks this.
