Why, 225 miles ain't that long of a side road! Thought the rule was "Must follow GPS!", regardless of how big the lake is that it tells you to drive into! "The all powerful GPS has spoken".

Well I was really leaning toward buying a Garmin dezel but you guys mentioned co-pilot.

So I began using it I think I only ran one trip so far but it's interesting. I like the idea for now is being able to use it for $10 a month or whatever it is versus laying out $300 or more for a GPS right at the moment.

I'm still trying to figure out the ways I can use it, like I'm trying to figure out how to look at routes from another location to a different location rather than the current location.

But I have to say I really do like that it keeps track of your state mileage. That is a really good teacher because it's truly one less thing that you have to do.

Then again maybe you should keep track track of it separately anyway?

Is there a way that you can lose that information?

I HATE them ALL! I have the Garmin dzel 700 series also have the rand McNally overdryve 8 pro. Literally the best ones both companies offer. And I have to run them both all the time. 1 will tell me one way, the other a different way. They both work horrible if there's any type of clouds in the sky. They'll lose satellite connection. At least the Garmin will tell me. The rand I have to keep an eye on what it tells me the distance is to see if its still connected. So I run goggle maps on my phone as well as an added back. Google maps always works perfect. Just never know if its a truck route or not. Wish Google would make even a monthly subscription service to add truck routes. They'd make so much money

My dezel and overdyve pro keep track. Only way I'd see you'd lose the info is if you do a hard reset. Mine lose connect to satellites when there's any clouds. Idk if its able to track it then?

Well right now I'm back to Google Maps and Common Sense.

Copilot routed me several times through truck restricted places so I'm done with that.

I don't know how they can do it but I really wish someone would make a GPS that truly knows what the truck only routes really are.

That I would be happy to pay whatever price for.

Same. Id pay a hefty price if let's say Google made one. I had a delivery of joists going to downtown Atlanta. It routed me all the way around Atlanta for the west side to the east side then had me take side streets. Where as if I took the 20 it would've been 2 miles on the freeway. Stupid

Check your toll road setting when traveling ATL. They have all those reversible pay lanes now and your Garmin may be trying to avoid them

Rand Mcnally still down, over a week now. It looks like they may not recover. Hard to have much faith in their products. Too bad.
