Thank Cowpie. Is it sold anywhere or is order only. What kind of blend are you using?

I have been thinking about this and I have come to the conclusion.
My favorite oil by a large margin would be the oil found below the ground on a large farm I owned.

Secret to getting rich acording to Getty.
Early to bed , early to rise and strike oil.

You can occasionally find it retail, but you won't like the price. Ordering is the way to go. I am using the Schaeffer 7000 15w40 synthetic blend. May give the 9000 5w40 full synthetic a try this next winter.

Delo 15w40 April through October at 10-12k intervals and Pennzoil Ultra 10w-30 November through March. One crankcase full all winter long with filter changes at the 10k mark. No samples to back it up but it works for me.

You may be able to get it directly at the plant in St. Louis, MO. if you are traveling through the area.
Obviously NOT the 55 gal drum, but however much you need to do a change & see what you think of it.

They have been good to me so far, the only thing I was not a fan of was their trans fluid for an Allison transmission.
It shifted differently vs the factory Castrol Transynd, but motor, gear oils & greases have all been very good.

Schaeffer has oils in whatever you container you want. I just gave the price per gallon based on a 55 drum. You can get it in gallons, pails, 30 gal, 55 gal, etc. The only condition about the free shipping to your home is a total order must be at least $375. They have very good fuel additives, anti-gel, etc. And their grease is top notch. If you have need of oil for a personal vehicle, get a case of quarts in whatever grader you need, and round out an order and write it off right along with your truck oils. I do.

Updating this one a little. I moved my pre-egr Series 60 to the Schaeffer 10w30 blend. Not a bit of oil consumption over the 15w40. Engine runs smoother and starts up and runs considerably better in cool weather. Going to send in a sample this next week when I change the oil and see how it is doing.
