Too early to tell. Winter, cold, wind, and all. December's numbers were better than December of a year ago, but weather was a little more favorable. Will have to watch average over time. I know my engine sure likes it more in the cold weather. But that is perception. Once the used oil sample analysis comes back I will have more to work with on how well it is doing.

We have a couple of guys that put Lucas in their motors and man have any of you seen that stuff in the cold? I mean really cold? It has the consistency of honey. I will not let the shop put that crap in my motor. I have the highest mileage motor in the fleet that has only had the valve covers cracked on it. Nothing any deeper and I just turned 864k the other day.

Mystic J-T8 15w-40 is my brand
My recommendation is if you got a high mileage truck don't try non of the high mileage slick oils

All major brand oils are good. Just use the same brand all the time and CAT filters. Only use synthetic oil or blend of synthetic if you need the extra viscosity range. Maybe too cold or too hot weather. If you do synthetic after all, keep in mind that it has to be replaced (changed) at the same intervals of conventional oil.

That is a good choice! Mystic oils have been real sleepers that get overlooked. Can usually get very good deals on the stuff at farm and home store outlets.
