Hopefully it has the international symbol, because I am sure some of them are illiterate or to stoned to be able to read.

Frankly, I have seen more truck drivers rude to other driver than lot lizzards being rude to drivers. Like the who posted that they peed on a girl, Come you know that i a straight up lie trying to sound tough and macho. Her or her pimp would riped him a new ahole in a heartbeat. But this is the behave I'm talking about.
I have never had to be rude to get a girl to go away. A simple not interested has always worked. Besides it's your fellow drivers that keep them there.
The girl from Bakersfield showed up last night a the New Love's on Tehachapi. We simply started walking around the lot with a camera, and any girl that got on a radio was keyed over, took her picture. And in ever case the driver wanted to negotiate the deletion of the picture.
We got the Kern County Mounties to hang out for a while and some assistance from CHP, and the girls are gone. We also reminded the manager at Love's his business permit is conditional to keeping the girls and drugs off his property. He says a security is on its way just not here yet. We reminded that most of us there were truckers and voted against is business permit at the city planning meetings, also local residence.
Keeping them off the hill may not be easy but its up to the drivers and residence to make them go away.GuysLady Thanks this. -
so you as a driver voted against having a truckstop--
interesting
i can definately see the need for having it clean and secure thosimplyred1962 Thanks this. -
I don't really have a problem with the truckstop as long as it takes it serious to keep the area clean, as clean as before it was there. -
ok i can see your point--kinda sounds like oversaturation of truck stops
i think loves keep it clean compared to pilot or a momnpop----and hopefully with somebody keeping an eye on him--it will stay nice and clean -
In my opinion, a truck stop in Tehachapi is just not right if it is not kept clean. It is one of those places you go to get AWAY from the nastiness in the Valley, and unless kept clean, that Loves will ruin the feel.

Highland Park, MI was lost one night in summer of '03 on my way to the receiver. Stopped at a light and this 300+ pound gorilla woman steps onto my passenger side steps and proceeds to flash me. I'm not she if she was a lizard or just extremely high/drunk. She continued with her ...uh... "provacative" behavior as I tried to avoid the urge to vomit. Anyway I picked up my 2' Maglight off the floor and shook at at her and told her I would smash her fat #$$ into the nearest light pole or road sign if she didn't get off my truck. She took me seriously when I missed the next power pole by inches while locking up the brakes.

I am sure loves will keep it clean they have a lot riding on this

I completely understand the feelings of the people of Tehachapi. There are few towns in California like it. It's one of the few places you can still let your kids play outside and don't have to feel afraid to take a walk with your spouse after dark. If that is lost just because a truck stop moved in, I'd hope the city would cancel the business permit. Without hesitation. And I drive through there on occasion. PJ has every right to want to keep his back yard clean from vermin.

We have new Loves that went in in Tulare, not too far from here. Uncle Bob and I stop there occasionally.. It's still clean, but when it starts getting nasty, I'll be among the first to pitch a fit!
There are several places across the street where the trucks used to go, and they are as clean as they ever were, which says alot, because I ATE there.. let's hope the Loves doesn't drie them completely out of business.
