Didn't know it was going to turn into another "Right vs. left" bash-fest. But with the way most truckers seem to lean, why should I expect anything less? Myself? I'm about as politically lazy and introverted as they come. BACK TO THE ROADS NOW!!!86scotty Thanks this. -

There is a 15% grade in the Black Hills. There is a sharp curve at the bottom. A good drop off the side. Enough to kill you. It is right outside Old Keystone. (Mount Rushmore)
we had a winter storm move in. I went up that the next morning. There was 200 feet of guard rail all mangled and sitting on the opposite side of the road.
Couple months later I came across construction that DOT themselves were doing. I asked the flag man about that on ‘the keystone hill’.
He burst out laughing. Said it was our own truck and our own fault! Our truck went up there with a delivery. That storm moved in before he headed back down. They failed to get to that road to plow/salt it. That truck got towards the bottom. It just kept going. Wouldn’t turn. Couldn’t stop. Just kept going. The guard rail was the only thing that saved him.Blue jeans, striker, Canadianhauler21 and 1 other person Thank this. -
