475 aint bad. But it is kind of light. You want twice that if possible.

Wife and I would pick up those flower load out of Delaware off us1 and truck it to 29 drops in Iowa in the big box stores there for 5 days and earn about 1100 net to the truck. That for us was a good solid paycheck after taxes. It's unfortuate that it's a limited season for that type of work.

To put that into perspective, that's about what I made as a student at CR England.

10.25 x 50-60 hours a week isn't bad for a trainee, but a driver should NEVER work for that post-training.

I don't think an unanswered text qualifies as load abandonment. Sounds like you have a great new gig.

Man, your previous employer was paying .23 a mile. What a Richard Noggin. For that, I would actually consider load abandonment as an option.

Screw that. They were payng him .23 a mile. They don't deserve any notice whatsoever. They'll be lucky if he doesn't give them an earful before he tells the to shove the job.

roadmap65 and Ky Trucker25 Thank this.

Sounds to good to be true most likely it is..... 800 more a week huh ? And gotta start right away?
    Like tomorrow?

I would be careful ,. Also not good to NOT give two weeks notice.
