Putting number one in that list is like putting an orange in a basket of apples.
I'd like to hear your (or anyone else's for that matter) experiences of how the dot enforced the logbook rules 30 years ago since that is where I got my views on the logbook rules.

You tell us: just after deregulation, was it "ICC is checking on down the line" and "little white pills"? I'm sure you've got some tales (short and tall) to tell -- could be an interesting thread.

I ran local, 100 air miles, Simple log book, hourly, never had to fudge dem, they said, you done? get your rear end back here.

Back in the late 70's and 80's they got the nickname 'comic book' for a reason. No one expected them to be true.
I will say, it's a lot easier today with logs being kept right. I enjoy never having to worry.
Can't remember how many times I sat at the dining room table with three or four books, working to make them all co incide.

Wasn't just back in the 70's and 80's. My mom often talks about my grandfather coming home from a run and sitting at the kitchen table doing his "bookkeeping" and that was back in the 1950's.
