I took the summer off and now am looking to get back on the road with a good company, I saw Z heavily advertising on instagram and decided to research them, glad I did. When I was on the road I always saw a lot of their trucks crossing Atlanta, new shiny trucks, their instagram ad states starting .75 to .85 per mile so I got excited. I guess this is another Russian stunt, just like the R1 (Russian #1) truck company out of Illinois, a bunch of crooks. It was reported R1 had the most beautiful sexy women giving the orientation, guys were signing with them left and right after the presentation, only to not get paid, get over worked, a constant battle with management. Reality is that well run companies that take care of their employees are hard to pay anything about .50c per mile. When you see someone offering health benefits on day 1, .70c per mile, new equipment and a 1099, all that doesn't add up, be careful. I will continue look, I have 5 years experience, clean record, and looking for an easy going company, where I don't have to battle every penny I work for if that is not too much to ask.

 

Just a heads up; “David Hunter” was a retired sheriff deputy and freelance journalist for the Knoxville News Sentinel, up until 2017. He lived in Powell, TN, passed away in February of 2021 at the age of 73, and never drove a truck in his life.
