    Starting with Zenith in a couple of weeks and would like any past or current drivers thoughts about the company. Have seen a few but all are over a couple years old. Thanks

    I'm a current OTR LTL Driver for Zenith. I've been here for 7 years and it's a really good job... if you aren't afraid of work.
    You WILL unload your truck if you're on the LTL side.
    You WILL put that truck in small places not meant for it to go.
    You WILL be on the go go go go.
    You WILL earn a very good paycheck if you show them that you want to work and not just leave on Mondays and be home every weekend.

    If you're on the line haul/terminal side you don't earn as much per mile , and you're not doing anything but drop n hook. Sleep in a hotel most every night. (Day cabs generally).

    That's the Conover terminal.

    If you're out of IND, ZTW, WSD, or BAL, or TUP.. it's day cab and regional LTL returning to home every 1-2 nights to go again. I can't speak for how they work, but it's very comparable, I'm told.
    Most people start... then quit... because they are LAZY.

    If you want it.. it's there for you. It's all up to you.

    Thanks, actually started this past Wednesday . Went with Joe in a 2 stop to NJ/Albany and going out with John on a 9 stop to New England Monday and after that should be on my own. Just wanted a few more stops to get it straight. Actually like it and think I'll do well. Really impressed with everyone I've talked to and what I've seen & noticed . Not every job you have you actually walk into the CEO's office and shake his hand! I'm sure I'll see you around.
