I just thought I'd give this a bump... Although it is a different year, the money due & the due date should be just the same!

I have always filed the Form 2290 with a paper form until this year. Since the tax period this year is only from Nov 1st - 30th, I didn't want to risk it getting lost in the mail, or stuck at the IRS processing center. Also, my accountant is always pushing me to E-File my tax returns and says the IRS will eventually require it for all taxes.

To eFile the Heavy Vehicle Use tax, I used a great program called Express Truck Tax. Their prices were very reasonable, and their customer support was terrific and American Based, which I appreciated. I got my Schedule 1 immediately, and I will definitely be using them in the future!

Hi trucker_joshua this was a weird year for truck taxes. Instead of the normal filing period, the tax period was delayed to November 1 - 30. Due to this delay, the IRS did not accept any forms until November 1. That's why it couldn't be E-Filed earlier.
