Okay, so there’s some issues in the trucking industry – I’ll be the first to admit that – but parking your rig in front of the White House and threatening to detonate a bomb inside the rig is probably not the best way to get your voice heard. This seems pretty obvious to me, but that’s exactly what a Pennsylvania driver did last week in hopes of getting to speak to the president about some regulations he was unhappy with.
The driver, Krzysztof Wasik, has been charged with threatening and conveying false information. Wasik told a Secret Service agent that he had a bomb inside his truck and wanted to use it as leverage to speak with President Obama. “I know what it takes to get things done around here,” a statement reports him saying. “I have a bomb in my truck parked 500 feet from here.”
According to a statement from the Secret Service agent, “[Wasik] was upset about the rules and regulations concerning semi- trucks and was angry about fines that he had to pay.”
Even after he had been arrested, Wasik continued to insist that there was a bomb inside his truck and that he wanted it to go off. “I don’t care if children or veterans are harmed by the bomb,” Wasik said, according to the statement. “I only care about speaking to the President.”
Unsurprisingly, when the truck was searched, authorities found no bomb inside.

Not quite the way i would’ve done it. especially since given the common mans opinion or his advisors he’ll take the adviser’s opinion… i think some one watched one too many movies lol
Wow what an idiot. So not only is he mad about fines he has to pay, but he is arrested, will have even more fines to pay because of the arrest, and he STILL wont speak to the guy he wanted to speak with.
Dumb ass makes the public’s opinion of truckers even lower.
Makes those of us who are seasoned, respected professionals look like we wallow in mud.
Idiot is the word that comes to mind and the only printable one!
I do believe he went a little off his rocker, esp threatening with a bomb.
It is just too bad that truckers aren’t listened to more often with the travesty of new hos coming up. I foresee there being a whole lot of problems with loads not being delivered on a timely basis which will raise prices for all consumers. Perhaps this is what they wanted to do though.
Well not the smartest thing but it did make a public point that would of happened otherwise. Made the news. I don’t blame the guy when all you do is drive and think for 10 hours a day after awhile when the gvt. Keeps changing things to make it a detriment to work people will flip out. Called stress the government is the largest cause of it to working and business people.
Quoting T. Bubba Bechtel, IGMO!!!!!
As if we didn’t have enough working against us in the eyes of the public and now this. So much for actually getting a tad bit of respect we just went back to being garbage in the eyes of everyone else again. Good job moron! I’m sure good old TSA is going to start fingerprinting ALL cdl holders now and back ground checks are going to get even stricter all because some crack pot whack job decided to make a bomb threat so he could speak to a commie.
