I wish!!
That would make a 19 hour window. Can't exceed the 14 hour window.
Drive 8 , sleep 2, drive 3. Rest for 10.
Rinse, repeat.zoekatya Thanks this. -
You're splitting yup your 10 hour break into periods of 8 hours sleeper and 2 hours off duty/sleeper . At the same time you're splitting you 14 up as well and still cannot drive more than 11 hours in your 'extended 14' so you're basically juggling 3 different things.
Sounds like you drove 8 hours to your customer? Then were 3 hours on the docks? So far I'm counting 11.25 hours assuming a 15 minute pretrip at he beginning.
If 2 hours or more at the docks was logged off duty or sleeper then your next break need only be 8 hours in the sleeper.Someone will correct me but you'd only have 1.75 hours available for driving after 8 hours in the sleeper by my math.zoekatya Thanks this. -
On second thought after reading the title . . .
Make sure you stretch first.bergy Thanks this. -
Better to leave splitting alone for a while.
Your question was not clear at all.
What did you do for the first 8 hours. If it was on duty or driving you started your 14 hour clock.
My normal day, eat breakfast, Pull onto fuel island, fuel and pretrip, drive for 7:45, lunch break, drive 3:15, log posttrip and off duty same entry. I use 11 hour 15 minutes of my 14. Take 10 off and repeat tomorrow.
That is my story and I'm stickin to it. This as really as the disease you get from a .50 lizzard.Last edited: Jul 24, 2014
