I have a small calendar book with 12 pages, one for every month. I've used them for 20 years to show what city I was working in (formerly heavy construction) so I could write off the miles. Did you know you can also write your expenses in those as well for your IRS write-offs and they are as good as having the original receipt? Like if I bought a pair of boots or a hammer I would just write it down in the calendar along with the price I paid.

Also admissable in courts of law. Provides an alibi if someone was trying to set you up for some crime.

One day I will give it to my son so he can see the places I had been while he was growing up. I used to love looking at old check registers of my parents and recreating the time line of my pre-remembrance toddlerhood through their expenses. Maybe he will be as fascinated as well... If the calendar somehow survives down through the generations of my family I'm sure it would be an heirloom.

    Les2 Thanks this.
