Like everyone else says request a new trainer but not a newbie for a trainer.Tell Swiff you want someone with exp at least a yr exp and a good safety record. If you getanother newby for a trainer chances are you'll go thru the same thing you did with this trainer.

One problem that I saw with the trainer program at FFE was that the Driver Trainers were strictly in it for money. Dont get me wrong, we all are doing it for money but there is a fine line between getting yourself or someone else killed and training. The Trainers maybe should have certain qualifications to be a driver. I know they have to be a standard driver for a year ir more. They should have a better program for trainers to learn HOW to train and certain goals met like "cleanliness" inspections and log book inspections. My first trainer once he realized I could drive immediately turned the truck into a "team" truck. Meaning he was getting some great money for me driving 600 miles a day. Maybe they could have some different type of incentive package instead.
Now to flip the coin. I wouldnt be a trainer for all the money in the world. Get into a steel death trap with a kid who has only been driving a stick for 3 weeks in school, no thanks. Close the curtain on I-5 in a crowded rush hour. Close the curtain and sleep while a newbie is driving through the silent, empty, sleepy, desert when he could fall asleep with me in the back with a stupid net to save me. No thanks. I will pass on being a trainer! -
Get a new trainer, this is most important time of your career. If the trainer fails you, you will not succeed and you will end up on social media, jobless. Personally I had three trainers, all of them were good except the second. The guy was confused how to fuel his truck and they expect me to know how to drive a truck, $&!@ that. I told him, he was lacking skills. He kicked me off his truck, then I got the best trainer and so far I am successfully doing my job.

Wow thank you all so much for the responses. Very much appreciate the help. I want to call the training supervisor but dont want to piss this guy off you know? Do I just need to man-up and make the call and maybe ask the supervisor to not say anything until im off the truck?
Sorry for late response, I drove from vegas to phoenix terminal and didnt get in till 3:00am. Is it normal for the trainer to sit in the passenger seat playing card games on his tablet and fallig asleep?
And this guys piss jug is disgusting.. hahaha. Rolls down the window and just dumps it. Trucking sure is an adventure...
Btw its Kry0n -(cry-on)Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
WTF! Thats nasty!

It is normal if he is On Duty. Otherwise the rules say 2 hours Off Duty in the passenger seat immediately following his shift or after 8 hours in the sleeper he may sit in the passenger seat Off Duty for 2 hours or more.
Peeing inside the truck is NOT normal.Father Luke Thanks this. -
I swear he is almost mad at me for being younger than him. Thats what it feels like -
If you are at the terminal I would walk over to Driver Services and tell them all that is going on and let them deal with it

I need to get going quickly with another mentor as money is getting tight. Please let me know though.
Thank you for the offer.
