Was just terminated from Roehl for not meeting backing standards. They said they were doing me a favor, if I tested and failed then I would be on hook for school costs.
Want to get back right away onto the horse, just need more time to learn backups. Need to move quickly and I am cash poor.
Roehl was very good about everything, I can recommend them, I just was too slow to get backing up in their timeframe.
I live in northern Indiana,
Terminated during CDL training for bad backing skills....new company?

How long did they give you to learn backing?
-
That's tough.
Go back to school and see if you can practice some more backing.
If you cannot back for anything with a tractor trailer, take courage, you are not defeated yet. There is straight work in air freight, expedited and other types of box truck work. No shame in that at all. -
Sure get back on the horse. what was you doing wrong.

I went to ffe in Dallas and went through training and they took me with other students to take the road test but when it was my turn the woman that gave the road test said she doesn't have any paperwork for me .At the end when i return they called me in and said they were cutting me lose because i couldn't get the downshifting and they didn’t have anymore time to teach. Got back home worked at a towing outfit and use their equipment to learn on property .Went to a local trucking school told them i just need truck for cdl test cost me 650 failed 1st time went back paid another 650 and only person to pass on that day out of 12 people got out truck and kissed the ground cause i knew what it would do for me from there on.Don,t give up hope ,just got to be determined and you will find a way.

Dump trucks, beer trucks, trash trucks (some of those trash gigs are very well paying, not joking either). Just don't give up.

Prime seems to have their business model working (for the time being anyways); I am judging from a computer screen though, lol.
