No surprise it was one of the JBH intermodal day cabs, from what I have seen they are the worst, right up there with the swift, Schneider, CR England, and Umax container haulers, I have seen those many of times tailgating, having the phone glued to their ears or texting, and at some shippers I've seen them driving around at high speed like they own the place.

It is a well known fact that drivers can become fixated on flashing lights and actually be drawn to them like a moth. Normally the victims are emergency personnel or road construction workers. It also happens more when the driver is under the influence of something.

This accident has an eerie similarity to that bus crash in FL 10ish years ago where those 7 kids in the car were killed. The so-called crash experts said that the driver in that wreck never attempted to brake as well...their proof, no skid marks from the truck. The truck with a gross weight over 79k and fully functional anti-lock brakes on all axle positions...even after the driver admitted on scene that he hadn't slept in 36 hours and he wasn't able to stop because the bus pulled out of a side street and short-stopped in front of the car(that he hit and pushed into the bus killing the kids). They couldn't verify the use of the brakes because the ecm was damaged in the accident...so they concluded that he didn't even try to stop until impact. Guilty until proven innocent.
