It sounds like he was kind of pancaked between the two trailers, all the guy is trying to find the driver of the truck to file the insurance claim properly. A good dash cam would have solved this problem and it is the reason they should be used always anymore.4 ways for the quadruple switch.

What the OP probably fails to realize is that we are required to give stopped vehicles on the shoulder a minimum of 4" clearance.
It's the law, Google it.
When the Crete saw the stopped trailer he yielded to it. What he didn't account for was you trying to do a flyby after tailgating him.
Yes,,, you were tailgating, otherwise you ALSO would have seen the stopped trailer.
You claim that you hit the brakes to avoid hitting the Crete and swerved right (into the parked trailer) so you're lucky you didn't kill a tire tech!
You don't always have to STOP when you hit the brakes. You just have to go less fast than the vehicle you're about to hit.
You over reacted, over corrected, and now you have an insurance issue. You're not gonna loose your job, or your license, or go to jail.
Lucky you.

If Cretes got a dash cam it’s most likely gonna show that he/she did nothing wrong. Just sayin.
Swine hauler, D.Tibbitt and Bud A. Thank this. -
You were ticked off because the Crete truck changed lanes in front of you. Instead of backing off and giving everyone (Crete, you, broken-down truck) room, you decided you were going to show that Crete driver a lesson and pass him on the right. After all, you're important and you have somewhere to be.
I see you made a point of mentioning the Crete driver returned to the right lane before he was past the broken-down truck. However, you neglected to mention that you were next to the Crete truck and the broken-down truck... NOT behind the Crete truck. Otherwise, how could you have gotten squeezed?
You claim you spoke to the driver of the broken-down truck and he is your witness, but you didn't get his contact information?
Your posts don't pass... and neither should you.dunchues, Swine hauler, Flat Earth Trucker and 4 others Thank this. -

I was in right lane coming up to Crete. I went to left lane to pass Crete and Crete got into the left lane
and I slammed on brakes and got back into right lane to avoid collision. I then saw the parked truck, Crete came back into right lane and was passing parked truck squeezing me into parked truck before he even passed parked truck.I hit the parked truck.Crete did not hit me but caused me to hit parked truck. -

I have been driving a motor home for 26 years and this has never happened before.
We looked over the motor home and only saw damage to the right mirror, the plastic was dented.. When I got to Arizona and parked for our stay, I opened the awning and when it came out this is when I saw the right rear speaker missing from the top of the awning. This is why I didn't get the other truck drivers info. We did not see any damage.
The parked truck driver called Crete on the radio and Crete did not respond.
