The ‘51 T. Just think of them tough old men that ran these coast to coast.
When you shift to 5th on main box you gotta pull your right knee back for the shifter to clear.
Custom shifters and shift knobs? Kick it back.

With the compression release, pyro, and manifold pressure gauge I’m guessing one of the last of the SC 350’s.?D.Tibbitt and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
Not 100% but I’m thinking it is a 350. 100% in tact except for the a/c compressor. He said the only thing making it non drivable is a air leak in the frame under the sleeper somewhere. No power steering but, it would make a nice local truck......D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

I'd love to find some way to make the old 13 speed shift knob to work with my 18 speed

It’s a small Cam, with compression release still hooked up..... every looks to be original that I could see....mile marker 27 Thanks this. -
SC 350 or 335? Maybe a 300.
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Wow nice old truck.
Same as the 1974 pete I had.
I also had the cable pull compression release.
Even has the chrome luberefiner on the side just like mine did.mile marker 27 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
Uncle rebuilt all his 350’s pretty strong. I have no idea what they make in power. And I’m dreading the day I gotta tear into it because I have no idea what tricks he’d done. I know it well never be the same.
One thing he did was remove the compression release completetly and freeze plug the holes. This Has people scratching their heads and looking for the “big cam” castings all the time at shows.
The flat dash was used all the way up to ‘87. I’ve seen it in a few fleet spec, ready-mix, construction, and off road Petes of that vintage. The vette dash or “dash of class” was the majority in the 359’s tho.mile marker 27 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.
