yea but those permits are only good for non sale products. you cant haul products under those permits that are going to be sold. i get them all the time on my obc during hurricanes. if im del to a store for restock. i still have to obey hos. if its hand out goods. then hos permits count

Its not for everyone. Only those involved in supporting COVID19 loads. For example Medicines and a hell of alot of it.

Essentially a emergency order to accomodate the Nation in time of War or almost war as we are enduring now trying to support panic buying this month.

While shippers are getting surrounded by trucks waiting up to a day or more for a dock. Its unfortunate the people of the USA went into panic mode. We were fine without that. But be that is it may the situation is here and that order is needed for those whose freight benefits the Nation. But excludes non important freight that is not priority.

Regarding safety, a no HOS limit means I run until the white line fever is too much, then rest up. Once I get going again its going to be about a few days to a week before I have to stop again due to white line. Being older it's not too difficult. Its harder on the young.

    Just say No!
They pass rules against us all the time, can’t park even at your own house in some cases.
You, as a truck driver are worthless to them, until they need you.
They look at the empty roller to the side of their toliet, and think of you.
Let em sit and rethink their life choices.

If they do it, they had better define it precisely.
I have a load of plastic boxes on the trailer. I guess it is not an emergency supply. Neither should be toilet paper, water, hand sanitizers, even though in high demand.

On the 2nd thought water could qualify...in some cases.

I figured this was coming. Last time they did it across the board, for all Trucks, was in 1994. The last Teamster strike. Ran Detroit to Cleveland and back, along with some LTL, in a Day Cab. 28 hrs on the clock. No Log Book.
