Any advice on a flatbed company that offers good consistent miles for a diver with 6 mos experience? I am with a starter's mega now and miles here are hit or miss.

With the recession looming, I'd look at refrigerated companies.
There's a flatbed company in Georgia that hauls military freight, but I think they run teams; not sure though.

If you want to keep a regular schedule and not be pushed for miles I'd stay flatbed and go percentage. WTI will take you and start you off on percentage. Reefer is going to be alot of tight schedules , no staying in the sleeper past 10 hours. Appointments are what you will be dealing with several hours to unload and load. You will drive nights and days you will not be taking 34 hour resets . You will need to run about 2800 miles a week to make fair money . Flatbed can offer you higher pay for less driving , customers are mostly day light hours and you aren't so rushed. A lot of flatbed drivers make good money running 1800 miles a week plus assessorial pay. Melton is a good starter company but I wouldn't go chasing miles unless you want to. Start chasing pay
