Will Corona Panic Stop Trucks From Rolling And Empty The Stores???

I am all for stay at home but there was a story earlier sounds silly you can't plant or maintain your garden but you are allowed to go to a store and eat the food there where people had their hands on and let's be real most the people I see there aside from me don't wear mask or gloves this maybe different elsewhere like maybe new york but it's sad when the gov said you can't do this nonsense crap.

If the economy reopens or people get called back to work, does that mean their unemployment application gets canceled?

 

I get working on blacktop all summer. Winter comes soon. Too cold for that. My boss says go to the state unemployment office and tell them I am laid off until springtime due to nature of not being able to work in winter in our trade.

So I go to unemployment, tell them that, they check with boss who tells them the same thing and boom I get a check every week. No need to look for work or verify same. Just call them to stop checks when Spring time comes in a few months and be ready to go back to work.

Easy enough. Devil is in the details though.

Fast forward to today.

Arkansas pays 81 dollars to 457 a week to THOSE PEOPLE who have worked and earned at least 3000 dollars in wages and are out of work through no fault of their own (IN example no firing, no quits etc... those ARE DENIED unemployment money end. dot. period.) UNLESS a Administrative judge awards worker for quitting with justifying cause against angry employer. Which did happen twice in my life time.

Uncle sam throws 600 dollars a week on top of that so 1000 cash a week, no verify, no seeking work no nothing . just stay home lolling on 4000 dollars a month free money. For 4 months. In addition due to UI rates very high congress tacks on another 13 weeks for a total of 39 weeks getting that check.

Its be raining money.

The problem is the filing. Arkansas went from I think 3000 filers to 15000 in one week then 55 ooo second week and now 150,000 last week.

God only knows what we will be next week. THERE IS ONE thing. Our Governor KEPT ARKANSAS OPEN so that a minimum of 200,000 more people DO NOT HAVE TO FILE CLAIMS., AND as of today if they are medical workers they gain a minimum of double pay, double overtime and 500 a week if 150 overtime hours each month. RAINING money. Nurses all the way down to the pooper cleaneruper with more staff to be included soon such as the cook, laundry person and janitor etc. IF they are working.

Taxes has stopped. As in crashed into the wall. My county has already noticed that the 150,000 extra dollars based on a 2 million dollar annual budget that is balanced last year has evaporated this month. POFF all gone. Close up the local government stop the services. You are on your own. But wait. The kids are hungry, keep all the schools open, load all the food cooked meals to the school bus and deliver them to every kid everyday. Forget the costs. Make it happen.

Other things are stopping. If enough people get sick fast enough in the pending second wave then yes 300,000 more will file unemployment.

There isnt enough money in the entire state budget for that. It will break us. But right now we are not worry about that. Rain the money.

 

Ugh, there will be blood in the streets if people don’t get paid..

Some of my co workers are armed security for a nuke power plant so I don’t know what their hero and hazard pay looks like. I got mines though, a check from my employer. I probably caught the virus and I didn’t even know it. One thing is for sure something is coming up. My company made it mandatory to wear rifle plates so I’m like okay.

 

I heard about that one. Supposedly some places have eased up and allowed items like that for curbside pickup as well. As for groceries and such, I'm always cleaning those up when they get home more thoroughly with the proper solutions. All in all, I stay away from the crowds and keep the sanitizing up more than often.

 

Its been discussed that Washington DC and surrounding counties are now a formal designated battlefront. As if it is overseas deployment. Old Gaurd has local Command and military infantry active and hot. Bolling Base to SW has all air defense ground and local battlenet for air fighterjets hot 24/7 106th Illionis gaurd just left recently to deploy under title 10 combat to be ready to fly leadership out of DC. There are other actions taken under 5 seperate but classified plans. SO Washington DC as of this week in my mind is now a hot battlefield ready for anything from nuclear missile strikes to terrorist down to civilian rebellion or rioting. Old Gaurd is now in control of 10,000 infantry and there are other elements contributing locally both for medical support now against corona and supplies etc and at any moment can shift into hot war.

A side note montgomery and other counties at the DC borders including the towns at the borders of Montgomery and all other counties around DC are now considered a military battlefield.

There is a roman term called Bread and Circuses. The money that is being spent to us in various ways is to help us somewhat. Without it then the People will take matters into their own hands without law. So far everyone more or less is doing well but we will be tested now as the dying takes off into the thousands daily for the foreseeable future. When I went to bed it was about 29000 now we are apparently closing on 40000 Or close to it. It will be weeks before this is over.

 

I dropped off a load last night at a DC that was supposed to be delivered Tuesday. They were "closed" no explanation given.

Last night (while dealing with the issue of the broker never rescheduled.) found out through the grapevine this was the THIRD time this place had been closed.

No media coverage.

This is a distribution hub for a dollar store generally covering the north east. And they've been "down with the sickness" 3 times now?

It's in the distribution network now. Nobody's REALLY talking about it. It's gonna get bad.

How long before we start seeing ghost trucks at the truck stops?

 

Won't be too long before someone out there organizes some sort of alternate distribution network to keep the freight moving. Regional freight movement warlords!!!
