The best feeling is when you are paying for fuel and you press "No" when the prompt ask you if you would like to purchase DEF Fluid.
The pre-emissions engine are relatively simple and just about any competent mechanic can work on them. Yes that means you can go to a mom and pop diesel service shop and not the dealership. If you like the Detroit i believe there are 4 or 5 revisions of the 60 series each with their pros and cons. Look into replacing the the bull gear which I think is more of a problem they have than the manifolds which is common to all engines. -
